Pfizer vaccine gets approval, will be available from next week

The COVID-19 vaccine of the US pharmaceutical Pfizer and the German biotechnologist BioNTech has been approved for use in the United Kingdom. The vaccine should be available from next week.

The UK government agreed to a recommendation from the regulatory Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) to approve and use the vaccine ahead of the schedule.
