The Worst Hotel in England found its happy fan base

There are quite a few five star reviews from satisfied customers. A hotel once described as the ‘worst in England’ actually gets a fair bit of love from customers.

The Britannia Leeds Hotel, based in Mill Green View, hasn’t always been a hit with those who’ve stayed there – as posts on TripAdvisor attest to.

Going back a few years, one customer was incredibly disappointed by their visit and described it as the ‘worst hotel in England’. In the November 2010 post, they wrote: “Seriously, if you consider staying at that hotel, forget it, email me and stay at my house, I would never forgive myself for letting anyone stay there.”

Unsurprisingly, it was a one-star review, and there are other more recent one-star reviews of the venue on TripAdvisor, but some people have a soft spot for the Britannia and think it has improved in recent years.

Last year, Tommy J gave it a five star rating. He wrote: “I often stay here for work and rarely have any problems the rooms are clean and the reception staff are always helpful.
