Plans to build 925 houses in east Leeds submitted to the council

Early plans to build more than 900 houses on a site in east Leeds have been submitted to Leeds City Council by developers Taylor Wimpey and Redrow.

The proposed site, known as the East Leeds Extension Southern Quadrant, stretches along the west side of the new east Leeds orbital road, from Manston Lane, towards Leeds Road near Stanks.

According to the applicants, the site would include 925 houses, public green space and a 2.6 hectare community facility, expected to include a primary school, shop and “health provision”.

It follows the recent approval for the outline application for the “middle quadrant” of the scheme, in which 875 houses were approved in principle.
