There have been no new coronavirus-related deaths recorded in hospital across Leeds, the latest figures from NHS England reveal.

Hospital trusts across the city are now entering the second week where no Covid-19 patients have died with the virus, with the total deaths in hospital settings across Leeds remaining at 340.

There was more cause for quiet celebrations across Yorkshire as a whole too, with no new coronavirus-related deaths recorded at any of the county’s hospitals.

Five more patients have died with coronavirus across England though, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals nationwide to 29,485.

The patients who died were aged between 33 and 86 years old. All except the 33-year-old had underlying conditions.

Their families have been informed.
