When to expect the landfall?

Storms are due to hit Yorkshire at midday tomorrow. It is that time again when the sweltering heat hints at the promise of a thunderstorm to cool things down again.

Nice as it is to have long, sun-drenched days, a change in temperature is most certainly welcome – if for no other reason than a comfortable sleep.

But though we will soon be getting some respite from the blistering heat, it comes with a yellow Met Office weather warning for thunderstorms in place across much of the UK.

The Met Office has warned of possible danger to life, as it predicts storms could cause flash flooding and hazardous lightening strikes.

According to Met Office data, storms will begin this evening (June 25) for much of the west of the UK and Yorkshire will be hit tomorrow.
