Check these surnames: you may claim the derelict estates

There are thousands of unclaimed estates worth a fortune across the UK. A list of 170 Leeds surnames has revealed those families who could get a small fortune in unclaimed estates.

Millions of pounds worth of unclaimed inheritance could be waiting for some people who may not even know they are entitled to it.

Records kept by HM Treasury have revealed there are 170 unclaimed estates with links to Leeds.

When people die without making a will, they leave behind everything they owned – including money, property, business or cars.

If no one comes forward to claim it then the money could disappear into the government’s accounts.

A quick search of the list, reveals 170 names where the place of birth or place of death are linked to Leeds.
