Beware as wishes come to life: this Leeds resident bragged too much about wrong COVID test results

Stephen Sharp claim his positive result was incorrect. A fuming Leeds man claims a Leeds Covid test centre cost him his holiday after he received a positive result he believes was false.

Stephen Sharp had planned to travel to Portugal with his wife and his in-laws for a holiday this festive season and booked PCR tests at a facility in Leeds.

Upon arrival, Stephen said he was shocked to learn that the tests at the place were self-administered and there were no tables or counters to use. Stephen and his family had to do their tests on the floor.

The 63-year-old received his results just before 2pm on December 21, which said he had tested positive for Covid-19. Everyone else in his family tested negative. Stephen said his suspicions were immediately raised: “I live alone on a 70-acre farm and had not had any contact with anyone for two years. This was my first time coming out.”

Stephen decided to do another test at the airport with his family just 4 hours after receiving his positive result. The result of this test, was, to Stephen’s surprise, negative.
