Street cleaning begins after another night of Leeds United fan celebration

The clean up begins this morning after more wild celebrations to mark the day Leeds United supporters have waited so long for.

Whites fans let off fireworks and flares as their side lifted the Championship trophy last night after their match with Charlton Athletic at Elland Road.

It was one huge party for Marcelo Bielsa’s side and his loyal supporters as the occasion officially marked the end of Leeds United’s 16-year exile from the Premier League.

Ahead of the trophy lift, supporters were being reminded to be mindful of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and to celebrate responsibly.

But the club organised a bus to arrive outside the stadium with players and management climbing on board to celebrate.
