Technical glitch led to cancellation of hundreds flights over Britain

British air traffic controllers must limit the number of aircraft in the airspace on Monday due to a technical issue. Airlines and airports anticipate significant delays and cancelled flights.

According to a spokesperson for the air traffic controllers, there is a malfunction in the computer systems of the British air traffic control. “Engineers are working to identify and resolve the issues,” the spokesperson said.

The problem is affecting the entire country, and hundreds of flights have experienced delays, as reported by British media. Several airports and airlines in the United Kingdom are trying to determine the impact on passengers and when the issue will be resolved. They advise travellers scheduled for today to check in advance the status of their flights.
