Local quarantine mode, after 85 new cases of coronavirus confirmed around Yorkshire

A further 85 people have tested positive for coronavirus in Yorkshire.

The biggest increase in cases was seen in Bradford, with an additional 30 cases confirmed over the last day.

This was followed by Sheffield, where a further 14 cases were recorded, and then Calderdale and Kirklees, both of which recorded a further nine cases.

Barnsley, York, and the East Riding of Yorkshire all recorded no cases in the last day.

The total number of lab-confirmed cases of coronavirus in the UK now stands at 297,146.

As of today (July 23), 769 cases across the UK were confirmed.

This comes as four people who had tested positive for the virus died in Yorkshire hospitals over the last day.

In the UK, the death toll is now at a staggering 45,554.

Hull – was 1,559 now 1,562 (+3)
